Smokebox the Engine House Cat

and the

Smokebox Club

at the

Middleton Railway

Smokebox

Hello everyone, my name is Smokebox and I live at the Middleton Railway with Old Ma Blenkinsop and all the Engines.

If you like Steam Engines AND cats, why not join my new club called

the Smokebox Club

Club members get cheaper fares at Special Events and can travel absolutely free on most days when the engines are out and about.

To join, get an adult to help you fill in an application form and send or bring it to the Middleton Railway with £5.

You will get a super badge to wear, a picture of ME and newsletters to tell you what Fenny, Murray and Woody are getting up to when no one is around except us. You get your very own Membership Card too.

Each time you come to see me, bring your Membership Card and get it stamped with one of my paw prints. If you visit four times in a year, you will get FREE membership of the Smokebox Club next year.

Wear your badge when you visit to get a special treat!

Membership is open to young people up to the age of 16.
Smokebox Club Members receive special gifts and the Smokebox Club Newsletter and enjoy the following money saving concessions:-

Save £1.00 on the published ticket price when attending any Special Event - Yellow Days on the Timetable.

Free travel on any other day when advertised public train services are running - Red and Green Days on the Timetable. This will be either a free child ticket or the value of a child's ticket deducted from the price of a family ticket, whichever results in the greater saving.

Save £5 on the usual price for a Birhday Party booking.

Smokebox Club concessions cannot be used in conjunction with any other concessions whatsoever. There is no cash alternative.

Membership costs £5.00 and lasts for 12 months.
Renewal is free provided the member has visited the Middleton Railway at least four times during the current period of membership. At least two of these visits must be to our special events for children held at Easter, the Children's Summer Gala in May, Halloween Weekend or any public service Santa Train. The remaining two visits can be on any other day on which public service trains are running.
Each time a Smokebox Club Member obtains a travel ticket the Membership Card will be stamped with a paw print by the booking clerk as proof of the visit.
Visits by the Member where a ticket is not required, for example, as part of a school group or as a birthday party guest, do not count as one of the four visits required for free membership.

Personal details provided on the Membership Application Form will be used only to administer the Smokebox Club and, with your agreement, to let you know about future events at the Middleton Railway. The Middleton Railway Trust will not share this information with anyone else.

Please remember that young people under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a fare paying adult at all times.
