Leeds produced more railway locomotives than any other town or city in England.

Middleton Railway Trail - A walking route from Leeds City Station to Middleton Railway's Moor Road station. The route was devised by Middleton    member, Kris Ward, and goes via several of the sites of the former Leeds locomotive building firms.

Sun Foundry Leeds - Sun Foundry on Dewsbury Road in Leeds was established in 1844 by Charles Todd. A brief history of the company and it’s products by Middleton Member Kris Ward.
